Parque Nacional Utría

Natural Attraction in Bahia Solano

Parque Nacional Utría
The Utría National Park belongs to the department Chocó and is situated next to the Colombian Pacific Coast. It has some of the highest biodiversity in the world. With more than 300 rainy days a year, a temperature between 23 and 30 °C and dense forest, the Utría National Park is a paradise for lots of plants and animals. There are jaguars, olive ridley sea turtles, boa constrictors, giant anteaters and humpback whales can be seen in the sea (only to mention a few).

The National Park can be accessed from the village 'Bahia Solano' in the North or 'Nuquí' in the south of the Park. It's a paradise for ecotourism and people who love the wild nature.

Because of the waves on the coasts of Bahia Solano and the Utría National Park, the region is becoming popular for surfing.
